How long you out for Darren, I could get out for a fast 2 hours and do a route like Grant, Mally and I did last week.

Be warned that they are doing a lot of harvesting in the forest and all the cycle routes were closed last week, I suppose that is going to be for the next few weeks.

Great ride today, and the weather forecast had definetely got it wrong, well the one I saw earlier in the week that is.

Darren and I set off from the car park at the Visitor Centre with light winds, blue sky and warmth in the air you wouldn't have expected for tis time of year.
Steve had joined us with his newly re-built Scott and we headed off for Hutton and a climb of the "Unsuitables", bottom to top Wink

At the gate at the top, Steve decided to head for Kildale at an easier pace as his bike was still "teething" from its re-build.

Darren and I headed across Percy Rigg, then down into Gribdale before climbing up to Cooks Monument, passing a few lads on bikes on the way up.

Excellent views then a steep single track descent, (we both nearly managed to stay on all the way down Embarassed Embarassed ) before heading into the woods and coming out above Kildale at Bankside Farm. A steep climb up onto Coates Moor then some more tricky stuff through the forest to come back out just below Gribdale.

Darren and I were doing a stonking pace, Darrens improved fitness and the excellent handling the Scott was providing was really clear to see.

A climb back up on to Guisborough Moor from Gribdale then we were flying back to the forest and that final mad Twisted Evil "rattle" down the "Unsuitables" and back to the cars.

Total time out, bang on 2 hours Very Happy

A fantastic mornings ride, with the world well and truly put to right, and a great mix of terrain, can't wait 'till the Summer so I can get my Scott Spark out Embarassed Embarassed

Darren powers up the first section of the "Unsuitables"
