Hello,
I am a newbie. 54 and not bike fit anymore, but that will change. Not ridden much for ten years and am itching to get going. Bought a pukka Marin Bear Valley second hand. I live in the Cotswolds so there are plenty of trails around. Only problem is I live high up in the Wolds so going out for a ride is fine-all down from here. Then ya gotta come home ugh! Guess I'll just have to grin and bear it. Smile
Anyone else based in the area?

The Bear Valley SE from about '92-96ish were very highly rated bikes along with the Eldridge Grade of the same period. The SE was highly rated as a competent race bike, and don't forget we're talking about fully rigid bikes here.

Exactly that's what I mean serious bikes I am actually thinking about getting a new Marin (Well off fleabay anyway but new to me) for xc riding as that is one sort of bike I don't have I tend to have all DH as that's my thang!! Laughing
