"One Middlesbrough pensioner, who didn’t want to be named, said she was stuck in the queue for three hours.

The woman, who is in her eighties and lives in Acklam, said they had parked in the Morrisons car park at about 11am on Saturday.

“When we came out it was about three o’clock. We just sat in the car, we couldn’t get out,” she said. “My daughter was driving. I don’t drive.

“She said ‘I am not sitting here in the car’. We went back into Morrisons.

“We complained at the entrance desk. There was another lady there. She said ‘I have been waiting two hours already’.

“We went into Morrisons cafe.”

She said when they eventually got home she rang the police.

“They said it is not the responsibility of the police, it is the responsibility of the retail park.

“I have never had a three-hour wait at this time of the year. I won’t go there any more because of this.

“We were worried in case anybody was taken ill. People could have had heart attacks.”"

We were there on saturday morning and it was quiet.......guess everyone had the same idea about trying to beat the que's.

There is some very good bargains to be had tho Wink
